We conducted training program on July 20, 2023 and August 12, 2024.Vegetable Cultivation plays a crucial role in providing a steady supply of nutritious and fresh produce to people around the world. The training covered essential topics such assoil preparation, seed selection, irrigation and pest management empowering women entrepreneurs to start or expand their vegetable cultivation businesses. They learned about the importance of crop rotation, fertilization and pruning as well as how to identify and address common challenges in vegetable cultivation. Choosing the right site is essential for successful vegetable cultivation. Most vegetables require at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Before planting, prepare the soil to create an optimal environment for vegetable growth. Timing and spacing are essential during planting. Provide consistent watering, especially dry periods. Use balanced fertilizers at the appropriate times during the growing season. Protecting vegetables from pests and diseases is vital. Regularly remove weeds to prevent them from taking over the garden. Harvesting at the right time ensures peak flavour and nutritional value. Use sharp tools to avoid damaging plants during harvest. The participants expressed their appreciation for the comprehensive and well-structured content of the training. The participants mentioned that it covered all the essential aspects of vegetable cultivation, from site selection to harvesting, in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. They highlighted that the training was engaging and interactive.
